  1. 75k auto service cost question

Are they saying to replace the bearings as preventitive maintenance or because the bearings are going bad? Id have them put it on the lift and spin the rear tires to see if the bearings are singing.
  2. 75k auto service cost question

If its awd, youll have bearings in the rear differential.
  3. eliminate T-stat on motorcycle?

Just drill a hole in the outer ring on the new thermostat.
  4. 75k auto service cost question

Which rear bearings? Im assuming wheel bearing/hubs?
  5. What do you think? Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo??

Those year Jeeps have issues, seen a few with gremlins in the electronics. The 4.7 likes to sludge up and block the screen on the oil pump, resulting in trashing the motor. Used 4.7s ain't cheap neither. Id be looking at a small used truck or a civic. Should be able to find either with around...
  6. In The Market For A New Truck...

Dodge had a rough run in the late 90s and early 2000s, but Ram has come a long way in the last few years. The ZF 8 speed is a great trans, and both the hemi and penta star are good engines. You can pick up a 2018 crew cab 4wd for around 30k with low miles and plenty of warranty left. I'm biased...
  7. Most new riding lawn mowers the same?

If it was me, I'd be looking at a Poulan. The 1,000 model is built similar to the old Craftsmans that we all love and remember. They come with a 17hp Briggs engine, and the 6 speed peerless transaxle. For your acre, this should do you fine, and leave money in the budget for a bagger. I would...
  8. 4.0 Stroker

If you're talking about a wrangler, I'd problem upgrade the rest of the vehicle first. Air lockers, new gear sets, tires and lift first. Just a thought, but how are the stock bottom ends on a 4.0? I wonder if a small low mount single turbo with only 5-6 lbs of boost would do compared to a stroker.
  9. 2014 Buick Enclave running hot

A good way to check fan operation is to crank it up, and turn on max ac. Fan should come on if working right. Does it overheat while idling at red lights, going down the highway, going slow through town? Is fan shroud still on? Fan relay, water pump, and thermostat as said earlier are likely...
  10. Input from Dodge guys please

I'm a dodge man, but to be honest, you'd be better off getting a Ram after 03 or a Ford/Chevy fullsize. The Dakotas seemed to be hit or miss, with more misses than hits. The v6 is weak for towing, even with a manual. The 4.7 is a decent engine, but is bad about getting sludged up and going...
  11. Honda shadow

On that 750, just change the oil, radiator fluid if its water cooled, diff oil, and adjust the valves. YOU DO NEED TO ADJUST THE VALVES. Most people don't do this, but it's needed. It should only take around an hour from start to finish.
  12. So who all rides motorcycles?????

I'm picking up a 2008 Honda VTX 1300 from the maw in law for a good price. Was my late father in law's bike. Ready to get it back running(been sitting for two years) and get back on the road. Sold my last bike five years ago...
  13. Ford F150 vs Ram 1500

Go with the Ram. I've had four of them, and have loved every single one. You can pick up a new Express with the hemi, 8 speed tranny, 4x4 for about 33K before tax, tag, and title. If you're not planning on towing or hauling, get the Pentastar V6. I have it in my truck, a 2014 crew cab 2x4 and...
  14. Wrangler vs F150

When I bought my truck 2 years ago I got 8000 off. I didn't qualify for 1k lease trade and 1k military discount I think it was. My truck was 35K, got it for 27 before taxes and other crap.
  15. Wrangler vs F150

Have they fixed the issues with the ecoboost knocking under heavy throttle? I have a guy that works for me with a 2012 ecoboost, hes having those issues. He just paid to replace all the coil packs and plugs hoping to fix it. I think the Rebel looks like ****. It's nothing but a fancy...
  16. Wrangler vs F150

Get a Ram. I have a 2014 crew cab 2wd with the 3.6 Pentastar, 8 speed, and 3.55 rear gears. I avg 21 to 22 miles per gallon in this truck of everyday use. It got around 23 to 24 before I put on 20 inch rims and 33" tires. You can buy these brand new for around 25K, waaaay cheaper than you will...
  17. NEED HELP WTIH 07 CAMRY 2AZ-FE 4 CYL ENGINE

Like others have said, if it does start burning oil, just keep a good check on it. I have a little s10 that burns about a quart a month, purs like a kitten. Only thing I do different is I take out the spark plugs every oil change and spray them with carb cleaner to knock off the extra carbon...
  18. NEED HELP WTIH 07 CAMRY 2AZ-FE 4 CYL ENGINE

You would be better off dropping another engine in. An engine with that many miles could have ridges in the cylinder, which require it to be honed before you put new rings on the pistons. The bearings could be worn and need replacing, the crank may have to be turned and then you need oversize...
  19. Some of y'all might not get this...

69 Plymouth GTX 426 Hemi 4 speed convertible, black with red pinstriping 59 Cadillac convertible, red with white interior
  20. SRT Challenger Demon

Supposedly the car comes with the 315s all the way around for everyday driving, and then a set of skinnier for the 1/4 mile.
