I had a temp job at the Society of Manufacturing Engineers a long time ago. The had an Eli Whitney musket on display. It was cool to see it if you knew what it was.
The Commander of USAFE used to be driven around in an armored Mercedes.
They were impressive. I remember all of his OSI bodyguards standing around it holding gym bags at port arms, dressed like Agent Smith as he left HQ to get in the car.
They sent one of these cars to the CINCUSNAVEUR in...
Some time ago, I saw a SUV from Ford. I think it was armored. But the main feature was a freekin laser gun that popped up from the middle of the roof. The laser was designed to cut through road blocks, not to fight. Although I'm sure it might have it's uses.

Where you around back in the day when you could mail order a jeep, usually disassembled, in a crate? I remember they used to advertised as far back as the '70's.
My son bought a 1998 C1500 Chevy truck.
He has since put a "new" engine in it as well as a new transmission.
We have two ECM's for this truck. 1 is his original and 1 is from the donor truck.
Neither are properly set up to run this truck correctly so he has the least problematic ECM...
Thanks, I'll pass this on to him. I wasn't involved with it. I'm a computer guy and I barely know anything about cars.
He's got the old ECM and the one that came with the "new" motor. Apparently the new motor is a bit bigger than the old one.
Thanks for the info.
I was reading something on Reddit or someplace that you can do a "reset" and then drive around for half an hour and the computer should reset itself.
Is that correct?
My son has replaced the engine of his 1998 Chevy C1500.
He has to get the ECM re-flashed or reimaged.
Is this something you can do at home or does it need to be done somewhere else?
I understand what you're saying but I have issues with knowingly selling someone a crap car without telling them.
Plus, my kid still has a loan out on this one. It's his first ever loan. I want him to keep paying on that loan until he gets a decent credit rating before he goes to get another loan.
My son recently turned 18. He had saved up a lot of money from his job for a down payment and with a little help from us he found a nice, used Chevy Cruze. it had 42,000 miles on it.
He bought the car from a place called "Atlanta Luxury Motors" *. It was an "As-Is" sale. All of the cars there...
