I saw some bouncing lasses of dubious BMI with slogans on their jeeps such as “you should see me with my top down” or “bad girls go topless”. Uhhh no thanks ladies. Please, no ma’am.
I had to read up on it.....Ducking a jeep is so you can bring a smile to someones face or compliment them. Wanna make me smile? Don't touch my stuff - simple.
I'm here, unfortunately.
"Jeeps" as far as the eye can see. I would say about 98% of them are 4 door grocery getters. Every hotel parking lot is the same - They look like new Jeep dealerships. Boring, drab and mundane. I think in the thousand or so "jeeps" I've seen this week alone I would...
I use a Kerosene and a propane heater. Neither are forced air, just standard ambient type heaters. They work well. I used the Kerosene heater last weekend when the power went out in our neighborhood. Drug it out of the shop and fired it up in the living room.
I have a Toyota pickup with the 22RE motor. It has 278,000+ miles on it and it is just clicking away. I rebuilt the head gasket in 2017 and have done calipers, brakes, oil changes etc. Runs pretty good. In 2007 in GA I had the transmission rebuilt because it was slipping.
It stinks and rattles...
Yup saw this and heard this in Houston County a bunch when I lived there. It was "you can't afford it" or "not for sale". All the while the car or truck was rotting away in the yard or woodline and the squirrels were destroying it even more... Ridiculous.
I set it cold to book spec. Also checked all over the internet and youtube and all were the same for intake/exhaust lash clearance. I may just run a heavier oil. The truck was given to me back in 05 and it had 150K on it. So I am still doing good even if it's a touch loud.
I checked the valve cover out and started at zero and then snugged it down. The 22RE is a pretty loud engine. Most folks say just to deal with the little rattle and live with it. I have read to get the engine up to temp and check all the valve lash then. These were adjusted cold and I have heard...
Not really I don't think. I set the idle back a little by ear (no tach on dash)it was high because of loose timing components (prior to repair). I also fiddled with the timing and distributor a little. I scratched a witness mark on the metal distributor body so I had a reference point to go off...
Just checked and all plugs are in correct firing order. It actually sounded a lot better today then it did last night. I fiddled with the timing last night by ear and it calmed down a bit. The belt tensioner was not the cause of the noise......I have a sneaking suspicion that it's the dust cover...
