  1. Minimalist reloading

Agreed, time invested vs minimal money saved is not worth it. I primarily only reload 44 special / magnum now. Some 223 in the heavier weights for accuracy control. 9mm is definitely not worth it. Imagine moving a pile of gravel with tweezers to save $20, that is what reloading 9 in a single...
  2. Looking to start reloading...lotsa questions...

I started with the Hornady single stage bundle, Im still using it. I load 308, 300 BO, 556, 45, 357/38, and 9mm. Never had any issues, its a fun hobby.
  3. 308 Powders

    Varget or RL15 for me
  4. 300 blackout brass

I ordered my saw and jig off amazon. I just chop them off at the shoulder, because I have this little gem for trimming. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00BF0J2MG/ref=twister_dp_update?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 I highly recommend it. I chuck it my drill press and I can trim a whole bucket full of cases...
  5. 300 blackout brass

This, I do the same thing. Easy and makes shooting 300 as affordable as 556.
  6. Electronic Powder Scale Recommendation

I use the Hornady electronic scale that came with my lock and load kit. I've never had an issue, granted I'm not loading super accurate rounds for a bolt gun. I load 308 and 300 blackout for AR's and 9mm, 38/357, and 45 for pistols. I always choose a charge in the mid range of Hornady's recipes...
  7. LC 7.62x51 brass... anygood?

All of mine looks great, can't recall any significant dings or defects. Just the usual extra reaming of the primer pocket, but if you've used LC 5.56 you should be used to that.
  8. 308 gas gun, 175 SMK, load suggestions?

I shoot 150-155 gr. HP and BTHP with round 43 grains of RL-15, set OAL to Hornady spec, works just fine in my Sig 716, PA-10, and Aero Precision build.
  9. Cost per round.. help a newbie please.

Let me rephrase then, I don't shoot enough for it to be worth the effort. I'll reload 308 and 45 ACP, but 223 just feels like a pain to make any progress on, not worth it to me.
  10. Cost per round.. help a newbie please.

Not worth it to reload 223 at current factory ammo prices.
