It ain’t worth it unless you get free brass and you can swage and trim on your machine. It’s too time consuming to load it in bulk.
And I’m loading on a 650. F that.
Unless you have a 1050 or 1100 with a trimmer on it, it’s not worth it. Not for bulk 55gr plinking ammo.
I’ve got a Dillon 650 and an RCBS powered trimmer. I Chuck up a primer cutter in my lathe and can knock out the crimped primer pockets pretty quickly. I still have probably 4 hours or more...
I reload in my garage too. I use a silicone cloth with a spray of ballistol about once a year and wipe down the steel parts. I’ve had no issues.
Maybe wear latex gloves while you load? Salt/sweat from your hands could be making it worse.
My pcc load was .4gr less than my pistol load. That’s using sport pistol.
Pistol load is 134 power factor out of a pistol.
Pistol load out of a 16” pcc was 167 power factor.
You don't really even need SS pins. I wet tumble without pins and the brass looks brand new. I don't care about spotless primer pockets. For what I do, it doesn't matter.
Pins are a pain to deal with...my humble opinion.
