  1. I just got off the phone with the Tech Rep. at IMR powders.

My 6.8 load is 110gr Barnes Tipped Triple Shock with AA2230 powder. Super accurate and works great on deer and hogs.
  2. Reloading bench using a rolling tool box

I'm not sure a rolling box would be steady enough. I have my benches screwed to the wall. Zero movement.
  3. I'm ready to throw lee pro 1000 in the yard

The Pro 100 will work but you have to be very observant of every step. It requires some finesse to get it to run correctly and keep running. Keep tapping the primer tray to keep them flowing down the chute. Make sure your case feeder stays tight. And blow some air in there to keep the shell...
  4. New Lee Progressive press coming out in April

You summed up my feelings on the Pro 1000 to a tee.
  5. Ok ODT Clan - help me reload

Try these folks. They have good prices on the Lee equipment http://www.titanreloading.com/
  6. Problem loading 45acp

This solved my issues. No matter how much tinkering with seating depth, sizing, ect. the ammo didn't want to chamber in a AMT Hardballer and a Ruger P345. Factory crimp die with no crimp took care of it. It essentially resizes the loaded round to take out any bulge.
  7. Where to buy AA1680

The gun show in early Dec at the Atlanta Expo Center off of Jonesboro Rd usually has quite a few vendors selling reloading supplies. I got a couple of pounds of 1680 the last time I went. I got it for the same reason. It's supposed to be the go to powder for mid weight .308 bullets loaded in...
  8. Lee pro 1000 not dispensing powder??

I agree with the last 2 posts. Figure out it's quirks and it'll do fine. It takes tweaking to keep things smooth but it works fine once you get the feel for it.
  9. 6.8 powder

AA2230 is my go to. I use Barnes 110gr TTSX. This is my hunting round. Very accurate and hasn't failed yet.
  10. Reloading for the M1 garand

I shoot 48gr of 4064 in my Garand. Good accuracy and a safe load for not damaging the gun. I use 14.3gr of H110 for the 30 carbine using 110gr bullets. But hey, don't take my word for it. I might be an idiot. Start lower and work your way up.
  11. Bullets loaded backwards.

I won't be doing this but I'm curious about the accuracy of the backward round. It seems like it would be very unstable in flight.
  12. How do you know if it's good deal?

Don't forget these 2. https://www.wideners.com/ http://www.powdervalleyinc.com/index.html For Lee presses, dies, and equipment these guys have great prices with fast and affordable shipping. I ordered a set of .270wsm dies last Saturday morning. Somewhere around $7-8 shipping. I had...
  13. Academy Sports - Primers and Powder

That is encouraging. Not a great price on primers but I bet if they get serious with it the prices could come down.
  14. Anyone seen Hodgdon CFE-223 anywhere?

I haven't been to the Cabelas Outpost store in Augusta but their stores in the Midwest have a very good reloading section. You might want to try AA2230 if you can find it. That is my go to powder for .223/5.56 and 6.8SPC. It meters well, is clean, and gives excellent and consistent accuracy.
  15. Beginner loader - Getting ready to drop the charge!

I agree with all of this. I load 45acp on a Pro 1000. You really have to tweak everything to get it running right and keep it running right. It takes getting used to the little things on the press that can cause problems. Once you understand it the press works well and can crank out some good...
  16. I want to start reloading 357 what do I need?

You could start with a Lee Classic Turret press. It does auto indexing so it's kind of a mix between progressive and single stage but only one thing is happening at a time so it's easy to use. I use this for .357 mag, .44 spcl, and .44 mag. You set up an extra turret head and switching between...
  17. Lee Auto Disk Powder Measure

I'm with these guys. Find the disk that gets you closest to your desired weight and go with it. They don't match the charts but the chart gives you a starting point. I started using the adjustable charge bar on my turret press. You have to play around until you get the right charge but I like it...
  18. Outpost Armory

I usually stop in there on my way back from Nashville. Nice place to browse. I do like fondling their Barrett. Decent prices on reloading stuff. I picked up some once fired 6.8 brass last time I was there.
  19. Bullet feeder on Lee 1000

I haven't tried one on mine that is set up for .45acp. Here is a good video from Youtube with someone using it for 9mm. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5mzJlSmIeBg. The guy hits the nail on the head when he states something about "babysitting" the press. It what you have to do with the Pro 1000...
  20. Lee 9 mm Factory Crimp Die

I run every 45 acp round I load through mine. Great product.
