  1. 357 sig

I'm out then. How's the reloading with the necked down case, Henri?
  2. 357 sig

If nobody else takes it, I will. Haven't started reloading this caliber yet, but planning to. Nice gesture, Steve. Jeff
  3. .357 sig reloading

Since the .357 sig is a tapered case, how much more is involved in reloading? Does it require case lube? Extra steps? Just picked up my first and may pick up a set of dies if it's not too different from regular straight walled handgun loads.
  4. Cost Per Round

I've seen several of these before, but this is the best one I've seen. Nice post, kmrs75! Glad you're here.
  5. Best place for reloading supplies NW Atlanta

I was planning on heading by there, but I don't think they're open on Saturdays, dang it. I need some 10mm stuff.
  6. Best place for reloading supplies NW Atlanta

I'm in Smyrna. Anybody have any suggestions about the best place (locally) to get reloading supplies. I'm a mile from AO, but their stuff is limited and I'm not impressed with the prices. Thanks!
  7. Best Do-It-Yourself Reloading Workbench Ideas?

At this season of life, you may have to carve out time after the kids are down and the wife is settled. It'll get easier as the kids are up and out. In the meantime, have a conversation with her about it and let her know you don't want to "bail out." Also let her know that you can save some...
  8. Best Do-It-Yourself Reloading Workbench Ideas?

Yep, exactly, and thanks. It's ambrosia maple. Peachtree Lumber in Kennesaw frequently has it. (Great lumber yard, BTW.)
  9. Best Do-It-Yourself Reloading Workbench Ideas?

This is a really good idea.
  10. Best Do-It-Yourself Reloading Workbench Ideas?

I'm sure it would. Mine is a piece of Melamine from Home Depot. Can buy in quarter sheet, cheap and solid--especially when mounted on 2x4 frame and anchored to wall.
  11. Best Do-It-Yourself Reloading Workbench Ideas?

You bet. You can use clear 2x4's and a piece of melanin for the top. One 1x12 for shelving and one quarter piece of pegboard and you've got it.
  12. Best Do-It-Yourself Reloading Workbench Ideas?

Hey man. I'm happy to come help out with the building if you'd like. Here's a picture of the one I built recently. If you have a wall to anchor it to it will be much sturdier.
  13. Just bulit my first reloading/repair bench.

I didn't build an overhang either, but instead used longer bolts to attach the press to the frame as well as the top of the bench. x2 on the pegboard.
  14. Equipment love it , hate it, trick for the other guys

    X2!!! Terrible design
  15. Need a little help with a reloading problem, guys

Hmm. I need to go back and review everything again. I'm doing something wrong--GIGO! Thanks again y'all. Jeff
  16. Need a little help with a reloading problem, guys

But what I am not understanding is, the length is 1.180 and the manual says it should be even a little less: 1.176!
  17. Need a little help with a reloading problem, guys

OK. Here's a pic of two rounds. The one on left clearly has too much crimp, I think. The other looks ok...just looks "squashed" to me, somehow.
  18. Need a little help with a reloading problem, guys

Thanks guys. These are copper jacketed RN at 200 grain. I think you're right about the overexpansion, Chuckdog. I'm clearly still learning! (I didn't know you could use either .451 or .452 bullets...) One last question: the COL is based on both the type (jacketed RN) and weight of the...
  19. Need a little help with a reloading problem, guys

OK, so I'm new to this. I've shot a couple of hundred .45 rounds that I've rolled myself. :) Those were 230 grain round nose bullets in starline brass (along with some once fired brass), using Accurate No. 5 powder at 7.9 grains. Everything has worked great, except for one round that wouldn't...
