  1. **It’s Alive!!**Ordered a Dillon RL550C!!!

Thanks for the pictures and info. I may look into a set of those.
  2. **It’s Alive!!**Ordered a Dillon RL550C!!!

I don't have a mount on mine so your comment made me curious. What makes one version better than the other?
  3. **It’s Alive!!**Ordered a Dillon RL550C!!!

The 550 series is a true workhorse. I’ve loaded thousands of rounds on mine with minimal problems. They are great presses.
  4. Primer storage

FYI Wolf brokers are much more susceptible to corrosion in storage than most American primers. I had to throw out a case of Wolf that was sitting beside a case of federal due to corrosion.
  5. 9MM Question for you reloaders

I’ve a couple of reloading manuals. I’ve reloaded .38 Special for a long time I just haven’t messed around with 9mm. Thanks for the advice.
  6. 9MM Question for you reloaders

Are you using 231 for 124 grain bullets? Any pointers to offer?
  7. Primers

Thanks. I travel through that area fairly often. I'll swing by this week and give them a look.
  8. Primers

A little late to the conversation but I'm usually trying to catch up. :) What is PNR?
  9. Copper plating cast bullets

From what I'm reading Copper Cyanide is what's used, not Copper Sulphate. Can you provide a link to the discussions recommending Copper Sulphate?
  10. I'm not a reloader.

Power Factor is Bullet Weight multiplied by Bullet Velocity divided by 1000. There’s a threshold that has to be met and there’s a point where the law of diminishing returns applies. To reach Minor PF which is 125 a 115 grain bully has to be traveling a minimum of 1087 FPS. A 147 grain bullet...
  11. I'm not a reloader.

IDPA is quite specific about weight requirements for the various divisions, modifications to reduce recoil, and so forth.
  12. I'm not a reloader.

I’m going out on a limb and guessing you’ve not done a lot of this type of shooting. There’s a couple of different approaches you can take. 1. Ask around at the matches and see if anyone is willing to give you some pointers. Little things like a proper grip, hand strength, and to a certain...
  13. I'm not a reloader.

How much recoil reduction are you looking for? You have to make Power Factor in IDPA and USPSA, most reduced recoil loads aren't going to make PF. If you're looking for something that's a little less snappy, many of the 124 grain target loads seem to produce less felt recoil. The next...
  14. 357 bullet molds

Leading is affected by several things, quite possibly the most important is how hard your boolits are. Hard Cast boolits will hold up better to higher velocities than Soft Cast. I'd recommend picking a bullet design and weight and working with that for a while. Getting the process dialed in...
  15. What are these?

Cool! I've never seen those before. One of the nice things about reloading is there are all sorts of creative solutions to loading problems.
  16. What are these?

It appears to be a Quick Change Metering Cylinder. https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1012955476/rcbs-quick-change-powder-measure-cylinder
  17. 200gr PSP in lever action 35rem

I hope you have deep pockets. ;)
  18. Wheel weights?

There's nothing wrong with using fishing weights for casting however, it's prudent to keep in mind that most lead fishing weights are PURE lead, that means it's soft. It's great for black powder and shotgun slugs, but not so much for smokeless powder pistol or rifle projectiles unless it's...
  19. Cheapest .38 reloading

You left a few steps out. http://www.imrpowder.com/PDF/Trail-Boss-data.pdf
  20. Cheapest .38 reloading

What powder are you looking at that has load data for under 3 grains per round? The Lee Loading kits are a viable option if one has the hours it will take to load up fifty rounds. I bought one when I was in my early twenties for 9mm and decided I was better off buying range ammo to shoot once...
