    My 35 rem load is 180 gr flat point over 37.5 grains of 3031, as always, check reload manuals to be safe.

    In my 45/70 use 37 gr of 3031 under a 300gr cast , usually shooting a 180 grain flat point in my 35.

    DO have a Contender barrel with a long throat, find seating bullets farther out gets rid of light strikes. Will see what happens, friend has shot other makers ammo and doesnt seem to have problem.

    Have been using IMR 4320 for awhile with 100 grain bullets, works well for me in a number of different 243's.
