I havent used one in 30 years but I used them a lot and for a lot of different calibers and if I remember correctly they only "neck size" rifle calibers. So they will only be good in bolt action rifles and sometimes only the same rifle you fired the round from previously. Good luck. Start...
Don't know what you are using them for and I don't check bullet retention, but Hornady Interlock 100 gr. BTSP and Sierra Game King 85 gr HPBT drops whitetails like a sack of potatos. Hope this helps
I was in Cabela's in Augusta, Ga this weekend with a brother and they have pretty good prices on powder, primer and bullets. 1st time I've shopped Cabela's in about 10 years. They PO'ed me real bad on some returns years ago, but with hazmat fees, their prices were tempting.
I tried the 170 gr SP in 30-06 and could not get them to pattern. The Nosler folks told me to load to 30-30 speeds since these are not designed for 30-06 speeds, but I was still unable to get a good pattern.
I have never liked nickel cases except for straight walled ones. They just don't seem to resize as well as the brass. I would maybe use them in an emergency but not on a regular basis.
Did not know you couldn't sell reloaded ammo. Never tried. I want to shoot it all. Made me wonder. Can you give it away. Also is there a law that says you cant sell it or is that just for safety sake? I learn something constantly on this site. Thanks for any input.
