I will look at the manual I also got ballistic products 16 gauge manual. I don't know if they have 2 1/2 loads listed. I also got some recipes from an ODT member who is a member of the Vintagers vintage shotgun shooters. I got a Lee load all press.
I just got my order from Ballistic Products that I ordered on Oct 26. I was able to get some primers just before they sold out. I also got shot , cups and wads.I have never reloaded for shotgun before but I have several 16 gauge sxs that have 2 9/16 chambers and since I can reload to that length...
I have a couple of 16's with the short chambers. I am using RST 2 1/2". I have been keeping the hulls. Can anyone reload these for me?
if not what am I looking at cost wise to set up to do them? I am paying over $11 a box for these from RST.
As I understand the melting problem it does not occur until you get out to really long distances. I would think at normal hunting and most target distances the need for high temp polymer is not needed. So no reason to spend extra on it.
Everyone else seemed to be out of stock. I am waiting on a savage lrp in 260 to arrive. It is coming with dies and a few loaded rounds and the rest of 50 being once fired nosler. 50 rounds was not going to be enough.
Plus when those test were done we did not have the new bullets that are able to expand from shorter barrels. If I were to carry a full size pistol of course .45acp. snubbie in my pocket I plan to go 9mm. That is if I can figure out how to carry a spare moon clip.
Ballistics by the inch just made my life easier. I often have questions about how calibers compare. It took a lot of looking to find a comparison of like ammo in like length barrels. No more http://www.ballisticsbytheinch.com/
Because of info there I am seriously considering switching .38 Spl...
That is the only thing I could think of but as far as I can tell they are all 3 solid lead round nose 40 grain. I am baffled. I have posted this question on Rimfirecentral.com as well i will pass along anything I find out.
I was on Federals site and looked at a comparison of 711b, 922A and UA22 .22 long rifle ammo. The bullet weights are the same and muzzle velocities are the same( 1080) but the retained velocities are not; at 50 yards 994 / 961, 100 yards 930 / 880 150yards is 878 fps / 815fps. Can anyone...
I am certainly no expert but a "flyer" does not suggest to me that it is an ammo problem. Try shooting that 3 round group and let the barrel cool between each shot. I am not sure what you can do about bedding on the R1 but it may be the barrel heating up and moving on you.
I don't know if there are better stores but when I think reloading I think of David's Gun Room in Norcross. They had Match King .244 when no one else did. You can almost always get better prices online. Unless it is going to break the bank I try and shop a local gun shop.
