    My nephew killed one a few years ago. He made pot roast in the crock pot and cooked it 24 hrs. I would rather eat my work boot, I think it would be more tender and taste better.

    Yeah, I know that, but a state trooper lives on the other side of us. I don't think he would say anything because he's a hunter, but you never know.

    We live just in the city limits, but it is pretty rural. There is a cow pasture on 1 side and behind us. I can sit in the driveway in the evenings and count 20-30 rabbits, so there are probably 40-50 on our 5 acres. I think it would be fun for my youngest and myself to harvest some table fare...

    Vacuum sealers are awesome. I'm quite frugal, so I buy meats when they are on sale and bag them into meals for the 4 of us. Ingle's has whole pork loins on sale now. I bought 4, cut about 6" off the point for roast then sliced thick chops and put 4 to a bag.
