Spent a few seasons “getting around to it”. Finally bought some waders and showed up at my buddy’s blind on the last day of the season. Scared up some woodies and missed my shot but I had a great time. I think I might prefer this to deer hunting!
If you or the wife have a kitchen aid mixer, I use a metal meat grinder attachment ($35 on Amazon). I do whole muscle cuts packaged as a roasts and the rest gets ground up. Half as breakfast sausage, half burger (both with 20-30% pork fat and appropriate seasonings
I’m in Ball Ground, haven’t hunted a season yet but I have a canoe, decoys and time this season. If y’all want to get a group of newbies together, we can hit allatoona and pool our resources.
