Oh and I don't think it looks like a classic TB pleural abscess based on my experience w people but things do manifest differently in animals for sure. Curious if kidneys looked ok.
People doc here, not a vet, but that looks like an abscess with some fibrinous exudate as well. Is that outside where lungs were I'm assuming? There seems to be pus, so I'm curious if lungs themselves were clear. Might be a pleural abscess from some injury or simply an infectious dz.

Thanks. This was actually in sc on some land we have near saluda. The rifle was my scar 17 (I love my bolt actions but they're heavy as crap bench rest rifles and I don't love hunting with hair triggers)
