The folks here have been awesome. I started hunting a couple years ago and people here have been great. @hikingthehills talked me through that first field dress but he couldn't help my hands stop shaking :lol:

Had something behind me before light. With only my hearing and imagination to rely on I’m pretty sure it was a Sasquatch.
Tried to walk and stalk. Saw some deer before they saw me but couldn’t get near close enough for a shot without being seen.
I just got invited back to hunt the property I started on :whoo::clap2::dance::bounce:
Going Thursday morning. He asked that I use a bow. Well it just so happens I bought a crossbow this year. I’m so excited!!!!!
Heck I call it a win anytime I get to go. I’m a rookie so seeing a deer in a spot I marked as a place I need to hunt, while exploring last year, is extra cool.

I’m not killing for food either. I’m gonna eat that tasty deer all year long but I’m killing for sport. I hunt for the solitude, the peace, the beauty, the adrenaline, the excitement and disappointment, the hopes of getting a trophy the list could keep going and eventually I would land on meat...
So what happens to the meat? My processor has a hunters for the hungry sign outside his door. I’ve only killed one deer in two seasons, but I only need two or three to fill my freezer. If I fill my freezer and want to donate the rest of the meat to friends, family or a food bank should I quit...
