    I used to get moose when I lived in Maine. Good meat, very lean. We’d mix ground moose with 80/20 ground beef to put some fat into the burgers.

    Let me talk to a friend that lives in Jasper. He has done guided bear hunts there for years, but don’t know if he’s doing them this year. Hell, I don’t even know when the season starts.

    Probably not as close as I got to this bear in my back yard. 20 feet or so.
