    I used to shoot plenty of them when I lived in Colorado. Always used a .22 mag rifle and a .243 a couple of times. Last I heard they are a protected animal in Colorado now. Ranchers hate them, they burrow and cattle get injured from steeping into the holes left behind.

    Damned if I don't miss prarie dog shootin. Lived in Colorado for 12 years and they are a gas to shoot,if ya miss they will stand up tall for a follow up shot. Would love to do some long range with the Lapua. ROFLMAO .338 prarie dog shot visual.:)
