I wish they would redesignate the to primitive weapon to keep out the inline black powder rifles that completely negate the reason for separating the season by gun type since they have a range far exceeding a traditional muzzle loader.
Bow and muzzleloader seasons should be primitive weapon season and not allow crossbow or modern muzzle loaders since both are capable of taking deer at modern rifle distances. it is basically taking trophy bucks from the rifle season guys.
As was said before the different seasons are different...
My choice would be 454 Casull. You can shoot 45 colt, 45 schofield and if on a double action you can have the cylinder cut for moon clips and shoot 45 acp.
