    Anyone else dove hunting this morning? Hearing tons of shots from duck and goose hunters but not the first dove has flown this morning.

    Thick nasty briars and heavy underbrush is where my stand is. He showed up at 7:40am all I could see through the thick brush was that he was a buck and that I could squeeze a shot through a gap I had in the briars and muscadine vines.

    He’s probably on to something because this buck was spotted by another hunter around the Corp land that butts up to my permission and that whole area of Corp land is swampy. And nothing but huge white oaks dropping fat acorns. Sounds like he described the land I’m hunting haha

    I started with 150gr corelokt but I can’t find 150gr anywhere. All I can find (if I can find them at all) is 200gr. I have to go to Anderson or Greenville SC to find 35rem at all if LA Armory in Lavonia is out of them.

    It did some thumping this morning. Thumped his 190lbs right into the dirt. My 6yo son couldn’t believe how much bigger he was than him. This is @Jtmartin7704 5 month old son and he really got a kick out of the deer.

    Thanks man I forgot to say but he has 13 points and i count them all. A friend of mine used a string and measuring tape and we came out with 129 7/8 inches. Right at 15” inside spread. I don’t know the proper scoring method but this is just for my knowledge. Unofficial score haha
