stock removal is so much more straight forward than forging. I tried that last year and basically ruined a bunch of steel and used a ton of propane. Still fun though
I've read some about it, and looked at some of the stuff people have done and it's interesting for sure. I don't know squat really about computers or modeling programs but from what I'm seeing that's not always a bad thing.
