I picked up a Taylor GS mini-e KOA with the heart of the wood on the front. It was my Christmas gift from the family. It's a sweet guitar. Ill post a picture up of it when I get home.
It is easiest to have someone to run with/ motivate you. I am with a Veteran (and veteran supporters) run group called Team RWB (Red White and Blue). They do more than running, like volunteering and getting Veteran awareness out there, but they helped get me into endurance running and are great...
I have wanted to do some Barefoot runs as well. I heard the way the build up your feet they can help bring down your run time, but due to the face I live in NYC for now, doubt that will happen any time soon.
So last weekend I was able to do a Spartan Sprint at Citi Field (yes ughh its the mets home), but I ran with our local RWB team and we took a Wounded Warrior who is paralyzed from the waist down. This is me helping him down the cargo net. It was a great experience, and one I will never forget!
I struggle with the fat foot and weigh 245, so shoes are not the easiest to come by. Asics are the best I have yet to try. Brooks are a little pricer but also great shoes.
Wanted to start a thread for those into running. Wether it be mudruns, obstacle courses, triathalons, 5ks, 10ks, half and whole marathons. Feel free to post upcoming races, post race pics, and brag on your run times.
