    You can mac filter on your router. Good passwords, mac filtering, and turning off ssid broadcast will make your network almost untouchable.

    That won't really be an issue anymore whenever starlink gets fully up. They are talking 100mbps for 110ish per month. Not too shabby if you are living with 1.5 or 3.

    Even if you don't change the password, good routers come with a preset password that is for that individual device. It's not like the old days when everything had the same default password. Just don't lose the card that comes with it that has the ssid and password.

    Get you an 802.11ax router. They will get the higher speeds to your devices. Wifi 6 is pretty good. I think it's around 9 gig. Wifi 7 when done should be over 30gig.
