  1. Any birdwatchers in the house?

Finally able to take a pic of the Rose Breasted Grosbeak. It doesn't visit my feeder as much as others.
  2. Any birdwatchers in the house?

I've had a lot of activity from Red Headed woodpeckers, seems to love the suet feeder I have out there. Just took a pic of one picking through the birdseed I have out. My phone sucks for taking pic's on full zoom, he decided to hang out on the far side of the feeder after I stepped outside for...
  3. Any birdwatchers in the house?

The results are positive on the birds in my area, personal feelings may vary, but I don't see how nature has a plan.... these birds act more like leaches on the system that works around them.
  4. Any birdwatchers in the house?

I took 2 female and 2 male cowbirds out of the mix so far this year. If other's aren't aware, cowbirds are parasitic breeders & lay their eggs in other nests. Most often the nest parents can't discern which is their own young and end up feeding the cowbirds, in which they grow larger and...
  5. What's your poison?

My go to is a heavy stout, the Founder's I like is seasonal so the one I usually get is Samuel Smiths Organic Chocolate Stout. Warm weather beer would be New Belgium Trippel.

  8. What's your poison?

It can lead to some bad things, but in life some good things are better in moderation, especially if you want to remember those good memories.
  9. What's your poison?

Good 'ol Jack Daniels, killed by a short fuse & bad memory..... or rather an infected toe after kicking a safe he was upset with for forgetting the code.
  10. What's your poison?

Nothing like municipal water using a reverse osmosis filter to clean it up.
  11. What's your poison?

You can only have one favorite, as much as parents tell their kids they're all their favorites....there's still only one.
  12. What's your poison?

I tend to float around myself, but if it comes down to picking one out of the rest I choose scotch. I thought about the list having multiple options, but this is more for your favorite pick rather than all that you enjoy. I've got favorites in all the selections above, used to work at a liquor...
  13. What's your poison?

Personally I love scotch, all time favorite. Have my favorite bottle stashed away for a special occasion, Lagavulin 16 Distillers Edition. Casual drink is with the Famous Grouse Smokey Black & Shieldag Classic.
  14. Any birdwatchers in the house?

I don't have any pictures, but I keep a feeder in the front and back yard, along with one for hummingbirds when in season. Placed a suet feeder out there recently too. Anyone else shoot cowbirds here? Been a few years since they came back to my feeder's.
  15. Any Metal Detector Operators here?

Glad to see a few others that are into it. A little while back I had taken my gold pan out to try my luck down by the creek, but ended up walking away disappointed thinking a metal detector would cut out the wasted time searching areas that had nothing. First thing I plan to do with it is...
  16. Any Metal Detector Operators here?

Just ordered a Minelab Gold Monster 1000 and plan to get out this fall to scout for some gold. Curious if there's anyone else here that likes to dig for treasure and what you found.
  17. Whisky Whiskey Whiskies--Which bottles do I keep? Help me out.

I would do a google search on some of those bottles, many aren't made anymore and there are people out there that will pay handsomely for them. There are a few that are still in production and won't bring much of a price but the harder to find bottles or certain years for the older bourbons can...
