If an oven mitt or a welders glove doesn’t work and you’re in a hurry, you could always dunk the can in a bucket of water. There may be side effects though.
Personally I would just wait or shoot without the can.

my 6.5" sbr keeps 147 grain and heavier subsonic.
i ran a box of the fiocchi 158's and they seemed to sound about like everything else subsonic. i wouldn't necessarily seek those out or pay a premium for them.

I bought a PSA CHF 12" upper a year ago. It is my go-to and I've never had any problems. I really like this barrel length for a compromise between maneuverability and muzzle velocity.

I would think either one on your preferred host. I don't shoot 45 anymore (sold my Glock 21 over a year ago) so I had no need for the extra bulk of a 45 can on my G17.
