I paid $67 for my Powder Springs MAC 10 over 40 years ago. The $200 tax stamp almost made me change my mind about buying it. I believe it took about 8 months to get the paperwork. It was a good investment.
In 1967 I was an undergrad at Florida State University with no money and very little to do. One weekend I was wandering around the second story of the student union building where a number of companies had exhibits set up. I suddenly saw a display of weapons mounted on vertical display boards...
What form do I need to fill out if I have a class III weapon and I am moving within the state? I have a copy of the form I filled out before I moved here from Florida, but I don't know if it is the same form as I need to fill out if I am just changing residences within Georgia.
What police department did you get to fingerprint you. I keep my non-resident Florida permit in effect in case I ever move back. Don't want to take the course again.
I have been out of the gun business for 18 years so I am not up to date on current regulations. Easiest thing to do would get a C&R License. Contact one of the dealers selling an AR 18 to find the current regulations.
I live in Georgia and my daughter lives in Florida. I have a SMG that I have owned for 40 years. Would it be possible to use a trust to permit transfer to my daughter upon my death? Who should I contact about handling this?
When i got my first SMG back in the late 1960s the gun cost less than the $200.00 stamp. In those days a dealer cost on a Walther MPL or a Powder Springs Mac 10 .45 was less than $100.00. Any SMGs purchased then were a great investment if held until the 1986 ban on new ones.
