  1. Growing Sweet Potatoes For the Home Victory Garden

I tried last year but couldn't keep the deer out of them to point they didn't make. Chewed them to the ground.
  2. Growing Sweet Potatoes For the Home Victory Garden

I planted 50 slips a couple of weeks ago. The deer are ravaging them. A row of 17 is down to 4. Heck they are eating the tops out of my red potatoes. Not sure the sweets will survive.
  3. Beans

Bulk ie 24 lb case but not in a single bag is Dollar tree online. They were a $1 a lb about a month ago and it ships to store. Best deal I found.
  4. Growing Sweet Potatoes For the Home Victory Garden

I forgot to mention I bought the Georgia jet variety. Also, I usually plant red potatoes the week of Valentine's but am running behind. Those should go in this week.

  11. Fruit trees.

I put chicken wire barrier around my tree today using t post. Makes it a pain to keep clean around the base of the tree. However the deer have already hit my apple tree eating the new growth.
  12. Fruit trees.

I planted two fig trees last weekend. I pruned my plum, peach, and apple to try to bring them back. However they are poor. The year I planted them the deer damaged them badly before I could get wire around them. Never recovered. They may also be wrong for the area. I never considered that.

Here's my diy brick rocket stove from 2013. https://www.theoutdoorstrader.com/threads/my-first-rocket-stove-may-not-be-56k-friendly.326342/
  14. Neck knives

Funny that one is on my short list of choices.
  15. Neck knives

Those look good. With their handles how bad do they print?
  16. Neck knives

Just wanted to see what you are using and your experience. Is it a good backup for the woods or last ditch self defense? I'm thinking of a small push knife to wear around the neck in a scabard. Something like these. https://www.bladehq.com/item--ESEE-Knives-Black-Izula--4375...
  17. Figs

I've repotted them and one already has new growth. I haven't picked a place to plant them yet. I thought with my plum trees but they get the nw wind which may explain why they struggle. I've looked at another place or two but don't think I can keep the deer out of them. So still haven't made...

I've heard others say they use 2 liter bottles as well. I wonder how they fit in a 5 gallon bucket or 55 gallon drum?

Good stuff. Keep it coming so I can add more to my shopping list.
  20. Figs

Do they require regular watering once established or is annual rainfall generally enough?
