I can see it now. Big storm comes along and knocks out power. Fire one up with cooking oil, sit around the dining room table playing Monopoly with the family, waiting on the power to come back and now, the house smells like french fries!!!
Noble idea, but if a SHTF scenario comes about and someone knows where there is a food pantry, well, best be "first" in line as there may not be any for "second" in line.
We used to carry this product on our rescue unit and I have used it many times, spraying my smoking ears, but that was almost 50 years ago - we used the spray can version.

(A. American, Mark Goodwin, Bobby Akart, are good authors). Common theme - be prepared and be prepared to alter your preps once SHTF.
I have got a couple of old fashioned Coleman generators (4500 & 5500) that were gasoline. After taking them to the shop every year because I let the gas go stale or gunk up, I had them both converted to propane. What a difference! Easier to start and I have many 20# tanks, thus portable...
