Sounds pretty good. Has a convincing vintage channel and the modern side covers a lot tones from rock to metal. More versatile than most marshal heads. I'm not a huge fan of jcm 800 heads. They sound thin to me. You can beef this one up pretty well. Good all around amp if you like marshal tone...- MeanWeen
