  1. get ready for the Biogun!! finger and face ID.

I do the appendix carry thing. So maybe I'd be interested in a "smart gun" if it recognized its owner by sniffing his or her pubes.
  2. Riverbend Rimfire Silhouette Match - Gear needed ?

CCI mini mags very accurate in my gun out to 100 yards very little difference between that and RWS and Ely club target ammo. My cousin had a heavy barreled 22 rifle with a 24 power scope on it. He found the most accurate rounds at 100 yards were Winchester Super X hollow points (high...
  3. So the "Police Chief" in New Orleans is someone's great grandmother??? WTF?

In some communities and cultures it's not uncommon for somebody to be a parent at 15 years of age, a grandparent at 29, great grandparent at 45, a great-great grandparent at 62.... that's assuming you can keep your kids alive long enough to reproduce and they don't get killed from drugs...
  4. North East GA FS 20 gauge shells

Good deal. If these aren't sold by this coming weekend, I'll get back to you on Monday.
  5. Plumbers advice needed- toilet tank flap Q

Many toilet tank flappers are adjustable; they have a hollow chamber in them and a little sliding cover that you can turn to adjust how fast it sinks, thanks to different sized holes that you will expose the water and air to. That changes how long it will stay up, & how fast it will close the...
  6. Riverbend Rimfire Silhouette Match - Gear needed ?

Std. Vel. only??? That's a crazy rule. I guess it's meant to accommodate older shooters who don't want to use hearing protection because their parents and grandparents didn't. Standard velocity will usually mean subsonic, and fired outdoors from a longer barrel rifle, that's pretty darn quiet.
  7. where to learn morals?

Where would an adult living independently go to learn morals? Suppose a kid grew up in a cage, held by kidnappers, and was rescued at age 30, at which time her parents were dead and she had no other living relatives in the USA. Or suppose a space alien borrowed a recently-deceased human body...
  8. Riverbend Rimfire Silhouette Match - Gear needed ?

I'd come armed with a "cheat sheet" of notes regarding how many clicks you'll need to re-zero your rifle for all of the various distances required in the match. Usually 40 yards, 60 yards, 77 yards, and 100 yards. Or meters? I forget. But, you should actually TEST your gun with the ammo that...
  9. Riverbend Rimfire Silhouette Match - Gear needed ?

I shot .22 metallic silhouette targets at some other ranges, not Riverbend. I used a rather plain Ruger 10/22 with an ordinary scope on it, nothing fancy, so I never investigated the rules about weight limits or barrel length limits, or restrictions on adjustable stocks, etc. It's an entirely...
  10. Pentagon May Scrap 35 million depleted uranium rds used by A-10 Warthog

Use them on our Enemies or give them to our allies who will use them on our mutual enemies , but only when no American or Allied boots on the ground are needed. In other words, we will be killing our enemies on their own territory and we're leaving their corpses there to rot-- not trying to...
  11. When you realize….

I dangle a Snickers bar on a short string hanging from a yardstick that I carry, pointing in front of me.
  12. What do I need?

With the standard 4-round mag, it's purely a hunting gun. But put an aftermarket 10-round mag in it, and add some camo tape or a gun sock to hide the glossy "LOOK AT ME: I"M SO BEAUTIFUL" finish, then you have something you can use for tactical work, too.
  13. What do I need?

OP, your current collection is lacking a full-power rifle suitable for big game hunting past 150 yards, and for the role of "sniper / countersniper / squad designated marksman" with a hard-hitting bullet that still hits hard and breaks stuff and kills big animals at several hundred yards. So...
  14. Metro Atlanta FS High Standard Victor Target pistol

Bump. If anyone wants to try before you buy, I could meet up a some indoor range in the northern suburbs of Atlanta. This gun has an amazing trigger pull. Match quality, for real, not a rack-grade of field-grade trigger. There *IS* a difference.
  15. Defensive Shotgun Optics

A shotgun is not like a Claymore mine where you just follow the instructions of "front towards enemy." Beyond spitting distance, they need to be aimed. Or in daylight --pointed by sighting across the top of the barrel. But in low light you're not going to be able to point it that way. A 10"...
  16. Just a friendly reminder, check your GWL expiration date.

Good reminder on expiry of the GWCL. Mine expires this summer. I'll renew it within 90 days prior of that date.
  17. You don’t know…

    👍🤞
  18. Did Rick Harrison die today?

Or clickbait spammers will show a photo of a normal healthy looking celebrity and it says "would you believe this person's weight is over 300 pounds?" But if you try to find that story it won't exist at all --nothing about that celebrity or their weight.
  19. Did Rick Harrison die today?

My brother's computer is infected with something that gives him all these celebrity news fake headlines. On the pages of legitimate news sources like CNN, Fox, ABC or NBC. They'll show a picture of a celebrity from the 1970s and say "RIP we'ill miss you!" And when you read the article...
  20. Auto Museum Clarksville, GA

https://milesthroughtime.com/ Was there yesterday. Nice place. Lots of early 1900's cars, 1930's, 1950's. Some modern cars, too. Bunch of Corvettes. Saw an oddball tracked military vehicle that looked like a substitute for a jeep.
