Beavertails like the ones Austin Behlert did back in the 70's involve a LOT of welding on the frame. Most of the work the OP has done didn't necessitate a full refinish. That would....
I still don't understand why Springfield didn't do that as a design feature of the SA-35 when they had a...
Most European companies are not big on Extended Slide Stops and don't offer them, because their dogma is to "slingshot" the slide closed after a reload. Many of their guns don't even have an exposed Slide Release, with the Slide Stop being internal. A certain very-popular European handgun was...

That Locking Block pin is an absolute MO-FO. It is a super-tight press fit into the metal Locking Block itself. Driving it out is a bear due to being tight in the block, but only supported by plastic outside of the block. Scott Folk from Apex Tactical did a YouTube video on this very topic....
One thing about wet tumbling:
I have been loading for 40 years. I have NEVER had a "ringer", where the center of the primer pushes out and the rim of the primer stays in the primer pocket, until now. I had a 10k batch of brass that was wet tumbled and not dried quickly. The primers corroded...
Not local, but Scott Pilkington in Monteagle, TN is my go-to for this. He was the armorer for the USA Shooting Olympic teams for the past few games.

I'd only want that done by EDM machining and would probably use Magna-port. You should only have to ship the top end to them and they're usually pretty fast.

Many folks think that "Boo Got Shot" was scripted, but it was not. That event actually happened in the public housing area of College Park. I know a lot of the folks involved: Boo, "my cousin Punkin'", et. al.
Royal Marshall's translation was priceless. I miss him. RIP.

I am a fan of FLGR's, but only because it makes the gun seem smoother because the guided spring is not rubbing against the inside of the dust cover. (That's where that "grinding" sound comes from.) I know it doesn't matter in the big scheme of things, but it's comforting to me.
The biggest...
At 50k PSI, I would NEVER load that cartridge with Small Pistol Magnum primers. I'd go for the thicker-cupped Small Rifle primers. I suspect that you'd get primer flow with any Pistol Primer, even Magnums.

Up for sale is a .40 S&W Limited Gun from Brazos Custom. It was my backup, but I am not shooting enough Limited Division to keep a primary gun, let alone a backup....
Hard Chrome is in decent shape (not pristine, but workable). Slide/Frame and barrel fits are still good. Rifling is sharp...
The only caveat that I have found with wet tumbling is that you can get "ringers", where the primer has corroded and fused with the casing. The decapping pin just punches straight through the primer, putting a hole in it instead of removing it.
I have since changed my process to "decap/resize...
I'm not saying that you have a steep uphill journey, but you might want to lace up your climbing boots; you're entering a fine balancing act.
An expansion chamber compensator retards the initial rearward movement of the slide, necessitating the lower spring weight like you suspect.
The fine...
