    I guess I like simple easy to read books. Louis L'Amour books are easy to read -- lots of action and the cowboy always gets the ranchers daughter. He did write one that takes place in the early Middle Ages -- "The Walking Drum" and the early Sackett tales are pretty good also..... JMHO

    If I remember right -- it was a flight of P-38's that shot down Yamamoto over Bougainville. The Americans broke the Naval codes and intercepted his "Betty" over Bougainville and shot it down killing possibly one of the best military leaders the Japanese had.... Awesome plane.... JMHO

    Things were so much better back then: If caught by the police out "having fun good clean fun" they usually just poured out your beer and told you to get home. The music was way better. Concert were cheaper. Cars were more awesome. We didn't have to contend with the woke morons running around...
