    I think that's due to those being at the 40 s&w power level. Really just buying it for the brass and range time, not for the 10mm power advantage.

    A pistol version would be more interesting, the 45acp doesn't really get any faster after the first 5-6" if you're using 230 gr ammo. Only when shooting lighter bullets or +p does it gain any speed with the longer barrel.

    I was tempted when I found a Shield EZ on sale, but passed after coming to the conclusion that the 2 extra rounds weren't worth it compared to a 9mm version. I always carry a spare magazine anyways & the possibility having to go above 3-6 rounds in a defensive situation isn't that great...
