would love to hear what you think of this (assuming you are shooting it?!)?
I have a soft spot for Hornets and Bees, always wanted a Taurus Raging Hornet (or Bee, or Carbine) but saw that Ruger was making the SRH Hornet. ended up buying a Marlin Dark (always wanted a 45-70 lever gun too), but...
Anyone around the ATL or north GA area have any of the parts to make gas checks for casting bullets? I have been looking at few molds and have a few molds that use gas checks. I have some caliber gas checks already but was looking at buying one of the kits to make gas checks (around $80-100 per...
I have a Burris FF3 on my 502. Yes the window will get very dirty, especially if you are shooting suppressed.
I had to source new screws for the FF3 as they OE included screws didn't match up, so if you end up with a FF3 let me know I have plenty. :) (McMaster Carr I think, I had to buy like...
So i'm headed down the rabbit hole. Bought a Marlin Dark and want to develop a good cast load for it, and ideally a good subsonic load (mostly the subsonic). I've been shooting some Berry's 350gr plated bullets to play with for now, but picked up an older Lyman 457406, pretty sure it's around...

As mentioned, the 97's are sometimes used in Cowboy Action...

Will be interesting to see what prompted this and what the results might be.
FYI on the website it's behind a paywall. I read it earlier on my phone, doesn't seem to be...
I was having issues with the bolt not locking back on the last round on the 300BO rounds, even with some hotter loads (still subsonic). Finally figured out that it was a knock off BAD lever I had on the lower that was causing the issue. Back to the drawing board. I've got some 1680 and CFE...
some new 45-70 loads (couple of different weights of 3031, and a light load of N320 to test), some 300 blackout (220gr Berry's with H110 and 1680), and some 5.56 (RamShot TAC M193 loads). Time to hit the indoor range for function testing, then the outdoor range with my old chronograph for some...
