I would run this by your personal MD first, because my wife and I had these done about 10-15 years ago, took the results to our Emory doctor, and he said they were essentially useless/worthless. Just a gimmick to separate you from your money, a "wallet-ectomy".
Nothing to hurt you, but not...
been a type 2 diabetic for 24 years, on metformin of 2000 per day for over 20 years. now on other meds and 2 flavors of insulin. I am 76, and don't expect a cure, very sedentary, don't even go to gun shows anymore. have lost about 20 pounds, but still weigh 270. clearly in the homestretch...
my son was in the same shape about 10 years ago, surgeon in Gainesville and an out-patient facility. let me check to get the Drs name. Total cost back then was about $8k.
Did the DaVinci robotic procedure with mesh inserts, both sides, one side was much worse than the other.
sleep apnea and CPAP for over 20 years, I must be lucky as I tolerate it pretty well and sleep soundly every night, but I recognize everyone is different. Good luck to all who have to mess with it.
I have lost some weight, 315 down to 275, obviously could lose another 100.
cpap.com is a mail order outfit down in Texas that I have bought...on my own, no insurance involved....3 machines. You just fax them a copy of your prescription. Their prices are very reasonable and they have a large selection of all types and brands of machines. I highly recommend.

Not all CPAPs require water to humidify. And, you can spend $1000+, but I got mine for about $150 shipped right to my house...WITH A PRESCRIPTION.
When I traveled for work, I had a machine at home, and a second "on the road" with me.
strangest thing when I started with CPAP was that before I got up 3-4-5 times a night to pee.
Now it's usually just 1, maybe 2 at the most. that alone made for a more restful evening.
I am 75 and have benign prostate issues.
I have had sleep apnea for about 20 years, sleep with CPAP machine every night, love it. You will have to get a sleep study done, then get a prescription from a MD to get a machine. I use a very basic machine, basically a fan in a box. I have water handy on the nightstand to get a drink...
Wife has been at Northside Gwinnett since Thursday with a viral bronchitis, non-covid, on top of chronic COPD from smoking for 60 years. She will be in for a few more days. Much better than being home and me playing nurse.
Took the wife to the ER yesterday, she was short of breath and dizzy. She is 74, been smoking for 60 years. She is in the hospital now with severe bronchitis and will be in for a couple days. Her blood O2 levels were below 90. She won't quit smoking. Stupid expensive, dangerous...
Something not mentioned, have the procedure done by a medical group that does a lot of these. My doctor with Atlanta Gastro does about 15-20 daily, 5 days a week. You don't want a doctor that does a couple a week. My sister had an "amateur" prober and ended up with a colon perfotation and...
