    With the 5.4’s its most likely a seized roller follower with a wiped cam lobe. Just did cpr on an 08 a few weeks ago with this. Hopefully he didnt drive it long enough to drop a valve. Depending on how long he ran it you can save it. But you need a shop familiar with the 5.4.
