  1. Has anyone had this surgery?

I had one foot done a couple decades ago, the other one I just let ride until the nerves died. Surgery will take all in all, about three to six month to recover, each foot. Both are the same now. I cannot say if you will have the same result.
  2. Unapproved show attire

I thought this was supposed to be a closed, by invite, affair?
  3. Summer 2024

  4. Bad engine

Yes it’s worth swapping. Trucks are valuable (kbb says 4-6.5K) if they are running, scrap metal price if not. Looks like used $1500+ used and $2500+ remanufactured. Plus install labor. I’d help if I was closer.
  5. Which CLP is best?

Yup I can definitely see it working well as it applied liberally and offten
  6. Which CLP is best?

In heavy use I’d agree, but anything that is a penetrating agent causes the very thin oil to dry up over time. Really not much better than WD40 Leave a black powder gun in your trunk, in Georgia weather for a year, after liberally coating it with WD40. While being deployed. Cadillac so it had...
  7. Which CLP is best?

I don’t like CLPs as they tend to be more messy and the gun is “wet” without cleaning the individual parts. Cleaner, then good gun oil, which BTW is similar to Air tool oil. I’m sure someone will quote commercials that will claim different, but that’s what I’ve been doing for years and years.
  8. Appliances dangit - worth fixing ?

Oh and it it was just the men, then fixing would be the only answer. But with the wives, not a minute should pass without the capability, even if it’s not necessary right now. LOL
  9. Appliances dangit - worth fixing ?

Everything can be fixed, but at some point you will be making repairs more and more often. Really depends on your tolerance for repairs. But they are simple.
  10. Is anyone buying guns anymore or has Bidenomics killed the market?

Frankly I have most of what I want. And I prefer to trade, vs sell or buy. Better sale deals at LGSs and no one wants a fair trade. Although the OGs still have reasonably valued items, it seems that the last 5 years or so that people want to “get one over” on everyone else. Used to be we saw...
  11. Time for a new floor Jack - Daytona stuff any good?

I’ve been using them for years. No complaints, however I’m not using as a business. I have a new in box Advance Auto jack. Packaging looks like Craftsman not sure who makes them for sears.

  16. Yea, so this happened

    Is that a Kohler motor?
  17. Yea, so this happened

My zero, caught fire yesterday. Apparently the carb bowl stuck and flooded the engine. Then when I tried to start it, the raw fuel went into the exhaust and flames were everywhere. So I was afraid to let go of the starter because I figured it would torch off and engulf it. So I was tossing the...
