Hey Guys,
Decided on an A400 Xcel sporting kick-off grey version. Handled a 30" at a store today and fell in love. They didn't have a 28" to compare it to. Planning on primarily for sporting clays but might fool around with trap, 5 stand ect as well. Anybody got a real strong opinion on 28 vs...
Hey Guys,
40th coming up and I have kicked around treating myself to a nice shotgun for sporting clays. Can't necessarily splash out for a 686 or other O/U at the moment but looking for a nice "keep for life" shotgun. Have looked at a bunch of them, and kinda settled on either a A300 Ultima...
Only non-piston BCG I had. That will be where I go next if the buffer doesn't fix the issue. I appreciate the buffer offer but saw Cabelas had them for like 13 bucks so I'm just gonna snag one and sneak out after work one day this week to do a little more testing.
FWIW, just threw the buffer on a scale and it's an H2 buffer. Thinking that might be where my issues are coming from. 10.3" barrel and the can doesn't really produce much if any backpressure being flow through. Gonna snag a carbine buffer and see if that clears things up.
Like a dumbass I ran the mags I brought of m855 sighting in the other rifle I took. Only had Tula and some local reloads to sight in and function test the shorty.
Is the fix for an undersized gas port to just drill it out? Guessing that’s something you can fix if so?
FWIW: when I was focusing on holding it extremely firmly it ran through full mags of Tula with mostly no issues. It was when it was being held slightly loosey goosey that issues presented.
Yes sir, factory mk18 with 10.3” barrel, assuming carbine di gas system, 5.56, bootleg adjustable bcg. It’s the one you installed the huxwrx flash hider on a week ago.
Hadn’t shot it before today. Guessing factory buffer from Lmt isn’t sprung to cycle shorter barrel length. Hoping at least lol...
Hated to bother you with free tech support lol. Holds open when I’m firing and it’s cycling reliablish, does not with the wife. Figure the buffer spring/weight would be the cheapest place to start trouble shooting
ETA: no issues with actual chambering once round is stripped from mag, issue...
