    Cannon is still for sale, there was a miss-understanding about it's size. Please read post carefully as it is 21 1/2 inches total length with carriage, Barrel 11 1/4 inches.

    You are absolutely correct, It is meant to be a signal cannon, Blank firing with light paper patch. It can fire a round ball with light loads and no Wadding, the bore is just slightly over sized for .50 Cal so a .50 cal ball is a loose fit.

    It's been fired about 12 times, normal max blank load is 80grs FFG. 40 grs with a lead ball no wadding. Also Tested at higher rates to ensure barrel integrity. Slower burn black powder is best no FFFG or FFFFG, burn rates are to high.

    Sorry I didn't expect to get replies that fast! It uses a cannon or fireworks fuse for ignition, they burn very hot and reliable.
