I am in Lithia Springs Plinker, if you want to bring it over someday I can probably do it while you wait. Send me a PM and we will work out the details.
This is what I used when I built one. I didn't know you were getting an entire upper, I thought you was building it all. https://www.masdefense.com/product-p/mas00126106.htm
I worked on that gun and installed the mag release. It shoots real good, I'm pissed the original owner traded it! If the new owner needs any help with it let me know.
I grew up hanging out on Lake Guntersville around Scottsboro Al. It is a great place to be, I miss the smell of the lake. My Mother still lives there just up the hill from Jackson County Park.
Its not that difficult to find a good used Valor in the $1200-$1300 range or a CCO for around $1000. The Dan Wesson is a little higher than a Springer or Colt but they are worth every penny you have to spend. If you want to try one come over to the LoneOak Terrace and I'll let you shoot one.
I can't believe that in all these replies to your inquiry that noone has mentioned one of the best 1911s currently on the market. You should really take a look at the Dan Wesson line of 1911s as they are possibly the best production gun currently built and have features and parts that rival...
No it won't, there is no database in Ga that connects your GWCL to your drivers license. When you apply for and receive a GWCL the info never leaves the probate court office that issued your permit.
Thank you Johnny, I never even thought about it being a piston gun. I've built a lot of regular ARs but have never done a piston gun, maybe its about time to begin studying that option.
Where did this come from? Do you have any paperwork with it. Was it just a special model they sold over the counter or were they given to someone as commemorative gifts?
I have one that is nearly identical, they are one of the most accurate revolvers ever made. The way the barrel mounts is the key, it is under tension with threaded mounts on both ends which makes the harmonics the same every time you pull the trigger. They are awesome shooting weapons.
