In late model trucks, you can’t really go wrong with any of the big 3. Stay up on your maintenance, only buy fuel from high turnover stores and add some fuel additive to your tank (I like stanadyne). There are plenty of horror stories, but the majority of these trucks run with no issues beyond...
Submitted my renewal app in Bibb 12/29 and sent the email to request an appointment. Haven’t heard jack. WCL expired 1/24. Kemp says we have 120 days to renew, so I’m not too worried at the moment, but hopefully will hear back sooner than later.
To the high and mighty fellas that don’t ever make mistakes...
Yeah my bad on running out of ammo, thought I had a couple more boxes in the safe. Guess I’m a lesser man for not checking my ammo stash daily. Thanks to my buddy 170512 for throwing me under the bus.
I actually shot 3 (I prefer...
Sorry, I haven’t been on here in a couple weeks. Yeah, I would definitely check the back pressure sensor and also make sure the line from the exhaust manifold to the sensor isn’t clogged up.
The early 7.3s don’t have the fine mesh screen in the tank. The super duty 7.3s have 2 mesh screens inside the pickup assembly.
I believe dorman has come out with a selector valve that actually fits and is a little less than the ridiculously expensive OEM unit. Haven’t tried it so can’t vouch...
Let me see if I can find some info on testing the selector valve. I have had multiple trucks that the selector valve went bad due to rust/trash binding it up internally.
There are no “socks” in the tanks on a 97. It just has a plastic piece with a screen. There would have to be a ton of trash in the tank to clog that screen. Most common problem with those is they break off and will run out of fuel at 1/4 tank, which doesn’t sound like the problem.
Depending on...
I'm going to have to disagree with that blanket statement. UTG may not make high end stuff, but the forearm is Made in the USA and is solid. I'd say it rivals most of the more expensive free float forearms in quality, for half the price.
Agreed. This is why I'm raising cash to buy one. I have...
10 4. Thanks for the advice fellas. I will take it out and put some rounds down range when I get a chance. I may or may not list it after that to see how much I can get for it, but I'm sure as heck not going to sell it for way less than I have in it. I'd rather just keep the gun and source the...
Definitely not opposed to keeping the gun, I can get the money in a few more paychecks and I'd sure as heck like to keep it and actually get to use it. I've just been under some pressure to hurry up lately.
Nothing too fancy, no billet components. I don't have the parts list in front of me right now but I can get it if you're interested. The upper and lower are pretty standard milspec parts. The lower is made by Tactical Machining, I can't remember the brand of the upper right off hand. The barrel...
I guess some folks may not classify it as a tack driver, but it's built more for accuracy than you're average carbine.
It's got a 20" HBAR chambered in 223 Wylde, free float handguard, RRA varmint trigger, MOE Rifle Stock and a Redfield 3-9x52 scope on it.
I wanted a stable platform with a...
Hey fellas, little background on the gun. I bought all the parts individually to build up a tack driver/hunting AR-15 that I had been wanting and I built the gun myself back in November/December. Due to my busy life, I have yet to make it to the range to shoot the gun (shameful, I know). Well...
