Yes the bx is better than the stock trigger. There are many trigger upgrades for the 10/22. Kidd offers a parts upgrade.trigger and all new triggers. Volquartson has them too. Personally I like the kidd stuff
Actually you can run the Bob in a S/A as 2.800 is commonly used as the COAL. Some of the newer long heavy bullets might pose an issue of COAL. A 117gr factory load was offered within the 2.800 length..
almost any spray mold release works very well as a release agent for bedding.. I use some Brownell's bedding compound, but mainly Marine Tex for most all my bedding. works very well
Atscott got.it.. handloads for a 45-70 in a #3 ruger.. lightweight 18" barrel and a steel buttplate. .actually kicked like two mules...sold it within the month. I used to hunt with a remington custom shop model 7 in 350 rem mag. Rifle had a brown precision stock. Whole rifle is around 6 lbs...
The simple reason is there are quite a few folks that have zero mechanical skills and frankly don't know a phillips screwdriver from a torx or even a flat head.. lots of.gun problems are solved by a good cleaning and proper lubrication
Upper NY is Not NY city by a long stretch. I have visited family in Syracuse and the folks there are as pro gun as anywhere in GA. Hell i eat breakfast at a place which has a sign on the door stating firearms are Welcome! Well over half the folks are carrying..love it.
